LT. IV—Industry

 

General purpose industrial loads (single or 3 phase) viz. Grinding Mills, Flour Mills, Oil Mills, Rice Mills, Saw Mills, Ice Factories with or without cold storage, rubber smoke houses, prawn peeling units, floriculture activities, tyre Vulcanising / retreading units, workshops using power mainly, for pro­duction and/or repair, pumping water for Non- Agricultural purpose, public Water Works, Sewage Pumping, Power laundries. Hatcheries, Screen Printing of glassware or ceramic. Printing Press, Milk Chilling Plant,' Freezing Plant, Cold Storage, Bakeries (where manufacturing process and sales are carried out in the same premises), Stone Crushing units. Diamond cutting, Book binding and allied activities. Garment making,. Electric crematorium, Pyrolators installed by local bodies, Mushroom farms, Shrimp farms, SSI Units engaged in computerized co-lour photo printing, computer consultancy services with SSI registration engaged in Software services and data processing activities and Desk Top Printing, Audio/Video Cassette recording/Duplication, CD recording/duplication, Software development for recording/duplication purpose, manufacture of audio/video cassette. Software Technology/Information Technology, Diary farms. Agricultural Nurseries (without sale) and marble cutting.        

The tariff will be:

Fixed Charge (Per KW or part thereof of connected load per month) Rs.  (FC)45
Energy Charge Ps./Unit  (EC)325

Total amount= FC+ EC+ Duty (10% of Ec as per tariff revision of Aug 2001)

Note:
1. 20% extra on both FC and EC for non-installation of capacitors.
2. 30% extra on both FC and EC for welding sets without capacitors.

3. The lighting load and power load shall be segregated, and metered by separate meters. The lighting consumption in excess over 5% (five percent) of the bulk energy consumption for power proper shall be charged at 40ps, (forty paise) per unit (KWh) extra over and above the specified rate. Where segregation is not done the entire current charges (Fixed charge and Energy charge) will be increased by 50 % (fifty percent).

. In the event of the static capacitor becoming faulty or unserviceable, the consumer should forthwith intimate the matter to the Assistant Engineer/Assistant Executive Engineer of the 'concerned Electrical Section/Major Section and the consumer shall make immediate arrangements for repair.

5. If the capacitor is not put back into service duly repaired and to the satisfaction of the Board within two weeks, enhanced charges as per Note 1 above shall be payable for the whole
period during which the capacitor was faulty.

6. 25% extra on total FC for non-installation of capacitors for air conditioners (for industries engaged in software development/technology).
