The expression Extra High Tension (EHT) Consumer means ,a consumer who is supplied with electrical energy at a voltage exceeding 33000 volts under normal conditions, subject, however, to the percentage variation indicated in the agreement with the Board or allowed by the Indian Electricity Rules, 1956.
2 Billing demand for a month shall be the recorded Maximum Demand for the month or 75 % of the contract demand or 50 KVA whichever is higher. In case where the power factor for the month is not known, the conversion from KVA to K.W or vice versa will be based on an average assumed power factor of 0.85. When the actual maximum demand in a month exceeds the contract demand (as per agreement) the excess demand shall be charged at a rate of 150% of the demand charges applicable.

Note: 1. Billing Demand will be the recorded Maximum Demand for the month in KVA or 75% of Contract Demand (as per agreement) whichever is higher. 2. The monthly minimum payable shall be the minimum guarantee amount as per the minimum guarantee agreement, if any, or the billing demand as in note (1) above whichever is higher. This applies even during the period of disconnection of power supply. 3. In the case of factory lighting and colony supply the rates mentioned above are subject to the following: (a) Factory Lighting - When the total connected lighting load of the factory is less than or equal to 5% of the connected load for power, it can be tapped off the power mains without segregation. When the above lighting load exceeds this limit, the whole lighting load should be segregated and metered by a sub-meter and lighting consumption in excess over 10% (ten percent) of the bulk energy consumption for power proper shall be charged at 6 Ps. (six paise) extra per unit. (b), Colony Supply - Colony supply when taken from the Consumer's EHT supply shall be segregated and metered by means of a sub-meter and the consumption will be charged at 6 Ps. (six Paise) extra per unit. (c) If no segregation is made as specified in (a) or (b) above the bill amount of the consumer will be increased by-10% (ten per cent) on demand and energy charges.
The conditions in the above note are applicable to all 66KV and 110 KV consumers. 4. All new connections to EHT applicant's and/or connections of additional load to the existing EHT consumers will be provided only after they purchase and install TOD meters at their cost and replacement of defective CT/PT and all other equipments owned by them at their cost. If they fail to do so, they will be charged 50% extra over the rates notified in this order both for demand and energy.
Power Intensive Consumers
100% extra over the rates notified in this order for energy consumed . during peak time. This will apply to the additional power required by the existing-Power Intensive Industries.
