A seminar on 'Indo-US nuclear agreement and Power sector' was conducted at Tagore centenary Hall Kozhikode on 04-09-2008 in connection with the State conference of KSEB officers' Association to be held on 27-09-2008 and 28-09-2008.

CPIM Polit beaurau member Sri. Sitaram Yechuri inaugurated the seminar. DR. MN Prasad, Former Director of Baba Atomic research centre, Bombay made the key note address and presentation. Prof. C Raveendranath, MLA made a detailed presentation about the nuclear pact and its' impact on Indian power sector.

In the inaugural session, Sri. Sitaram Yechuri said that the present 123 agreement with US will destroy the self reliance of India and it is againts the commitment made by Prime minister in rajya sabha. Dr. MN Prasad said that the this agreement will destroy the indegenious technology devloloped by Indian nuclear scientists.

The Seminar was organised by KSEB Officres' Association and Kelu Ettan Padana Kendram Kozhikode. General Secretary, KSEB Officers' Association Sri. B Pradeep, President Sri. KA Sivadasan, Sri. Chandran Master, Kelu Ettan Padana Kendram also were present in the seminar.
